Rachel Peterka is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Missouri. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Missouri-Columbia and her Master of Arts in Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary. Rachel has worked and volunteered for many years in people-helping positions, including professional childcare, personal care for elderly persons, ministry work with missionary families, and families dealing with sexual brokenness. She has been involved in private practice counseling since 2009, and has walked alongside many individuals, couples, and families as they do their best to respond to pain in their lives, their families, and their churches.
Rachel has a special burden for women struggling with the repercussions of past sexual abuse, sexual addiction, other forms of sexual brokenness, and reconciling matters of faith and sexuality. She has also worked with individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, spiritual concerns, post-abortion guilt, identity struggles, and family of origin issues. She considers it a rich privilege to walk alongside those who are hurting, dissatisfied with their current quality of life, and desperate for change and deep healing. Outside of work, Rachel enjoys playing with her family, watching movies, playing group games, cooking, and talking about/doing anything that involves Italian culture.
