Life is difficult. You can be coasting along, only to wake up and find you just don’t have the same kind of joy and excitement that you used to. Activities and being with people you used to enjoy now just feel dull and lifeless, and, no matter what you do, nothing changes. You feel stuck in a hopeless situation. Thoughts about tasks you have to do or people with whom you have to interact throughout the day feel overwhelming and fill you with anxiety. You have difficulty falling asleep because your mind just won’t ”turn off,” and, when you finally do fall asleep, you wake up feeling exhausted and unrested. Even your relationships can stress you out. Meeting new people fills you with dread, and, when you’re with friends and loved ones, you often feel like you’re on the outside looking in. You don’t feel truly connected.
Entering into your story and struggles is brave. I provide a safe, warm environment and a caring relationship in which you feel truly listened to and understood and where we can work together to find hope and healing. You will leave with a greater understanding of the nature of your challenges, skills to give you the confidence to manage them and approach life courageously, a renewed sense of hope, and the ability to become the author of the joy and fulfillment for which you long. I specialize in helping people experiencing sleep issues, depression, and young adults facing major life transitions and relational issues.
I reside in St. Louis and received my Master of Arts in Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary. I enjoy playing and composing music, practicing martial arts, and watching a variety of movies with friends. I am also an active member of the St. Louis Table Tennis Club.
